Crowborough Wolfe Bowling Club

Welcome

Established for over 80 years, this club is friendly and well run and has over 100 members. We have a full programme of fixtures and internal competitions to cater for everyone from the beginner to the expert player. The club has a full season of county league matches and friendly matches against other local clubs.


The club also organises a number of fun activities and social events for our members and guests throughout the year.


Our Green is one of the best in Sussex and is located adjacent to the Wolfe Recreation Ground, Luxford Lane, Crowborough.


Our clubhouse has excellent facilities,including a bar and a newly refurbished kitchen.


Joining The Club

The club is always happy to welcome you as a new member, whether you are an experienced bowler or completely new to the game. Details may be found here.

 

If you are new to the game you will be offered coaching sessions from one of our three qualified coaches and you might also be interested in the "Bowls Basics" section of this site.

Touring Sides

Crowborough Wolfe Bowling Club welcomes touring sides. We offer a 6-rink green in pleasant surroundings. We are situated very close to the Ashdown Forest which is now one of the largest free public access spaces in the South East. It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside between bowls matches. The Sussex coast and the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters are only 45 minutes from Crowborough.
